Akros terms of use

Clear limits for a personal health record.

Effective 31 July 2026 · Governed by New South Wales, Australia, subject to mandatory local consumer law

1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing, or using Akros, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Akros. You must be legally able to enter this agreement in your location. If you are a minor, use Akros only with any consent required by local law.

2. What Akros provides

Akros is a personal wellness, strength-planning, and record-keeping app. It can keep an approved training week stable, run the bounded Week Rescue proposal and decision flow, display selected Apple Health trends, normalize a user-selected lab PDF, compare recent data with a prior baseline, produce bounded weekly briefings, and export account data. Features may depend on permissions, data availability, sign-in, subscription access, network access, and service availability.

3. Free access and Akros Pro

Free access includes the on-device Apple Health dashboard, one complete useful Week Rescue cycle, the first useful briefing, and the first successful PDF extraction after sign-in. A failed extraction does not consume that included extraction. After the first useful Week Rescue cycle, generating, reviewing, or declining later proposals remains free. Akros Pro unlocks accepting or modifying later useful proposals, a new weekly briefing each week, private 26-week briefing history and prior-briefing sharing, and additional successful PDF extractions. Reverting a change, accessing the existing approved plan, exporting account data, and deleting the account remain available without Pro. Feature boundaries may change for future periods, but Akros will not remove paid access already owed for a current subscription period without a remedy required by law.

4. Subscription terms

Akros Pro is offered through Apple at US$9.99 per month or US$59.99 per year. Prices can vary by storefront, currency, and tax. The price Apple displays before confirmation controls. Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day free trial. Apple determines eligibility. Unless canceled, a subscription renews automatically and Apple charges the account within 24 hours before the current period ends.

5. Manage, cancel, and request a refund

Manage or cancel Akros through the in-app subscription screen or iOS Settings, Apple Account, Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Cancellation does not normally refund the current period. Deleting your Akros account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it separately with Apple. Apple controls App Store refunds through reportaproblem.apple.com. Akros cannot directly issue a refund for a transaction Apple processed. Your statutory rights still apply.

6. Not medical advice

Akros is not a medical device and does not diagnose, predict, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. It does not prescribe medication or tell you to start, stop, or change treatment. Automated extraction and trend summaries can be incomplete or wrong. Verify lab values against the original report and use a qualified clinician for medical decisions. Contact local emergency services for an emergency.

7. Your data and permission to process it

You retain your rights in the data you provide. You grant Akros a limited permission to host, transmit, normalize, compare, display, secure, export, and delete that data only as needed to provide the service, comply with law, and protect the service. The Privacy Policy names the providers used for API routing, storage, PDF extraction, support email, and diagnostics, and explains their roles, retention, withdrawal, export, and deletion.

8. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for using an account you control, maintaining device security, choosing appropriate permissions, checking normalized values against source records, and using Akros lawfully. Do not upload a report you have no right to process, probe or disrupt the service, bypass subscription controls, automate abusive requests, impersonate another person, or use Akros to make medical decisions for someone else without appropriate authority and professional oversight.

9. Akros intellectual property

Akros, its software, visual design, text, trademarks, and underlying systems are protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the app. They do not transfer ownership or permit resale, copying, reverse engineering where prohibited, or creation of a competing service from protected Akros materials.

10. Availability and changes

Akros may experience maintenance, provider outages, processing delays, or feature changes. No uninterrupted-service guarantee or formal service-level agreement is provided. Akros may change or discontinue a feature for security, legal, operational, or product reasons. Where a material change affects a paid service, Akros will provide notice or a remedy when required by law.

11. Suspension and termination

Akros may limit or suspend access when reasonably needed to investigate fraud, abuse, a security risk, unlawful conduct, or a serious breach of these Terms. Akros will use reasonable efforts to provide notice when doing so would not increase risk. You may stop using the service and start account deletion in Settings.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Akros is provided on an “as available” basis. Akros does not promise that an extracted lab value or trend is complete, current, or suitable for a medical purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes a guarantee, remedy, or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Any permitted limitation is applied only to the maximum extent allowed in your location.

13. Changes to these Terms

Akros may revise these Terms. The effective date will change when a revision is published. A material change will be described in the app or through another reasonable notice before it takes effect where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Contact

Contact Akros in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia through the Akros support form. Do not include lab reports or health data in an initial request.
